GastroHealthCare is the clinical practice of Dr Martin Veysey and offers consulting and endoscopy services to patients with gastrointestinal and liver problems in the Central Coast region of New South Wales. This site is designed primarily for patients referred to Dr Veysey and provides a resource to assist them learn about, and prepare for, any gastrointestinal or liver diagnoses, or any procedures that may be planned. This site also provides information for healthcare professionals and enables them to make referrals to Dr Veysey in a timely and convenient fashion. This site contains patient information from the Gastroenterological Society of Australia's (GESA) website. GESA is Australia's peak body for the disciplines of gastroenterology and hepatology. Please note that the information in this site is an educational resource for patients and practitioners and should not be used to make decisions about the management of any gastrointestinal or liver conditions. |

HOW TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT |
Patients are accepted for consultation or procedure only after referral by their General Practitioner (GP). In certain situations, a 'direct referral' for a procedure is possible. With a 'direct referral', the patient is referred by the patient's GP for a procedure without consultation from a specialist. If the matter is of clinical urgency phone the practice directly and our reception staff will ensure a suitable appointment time. We recommend that you read carefully all the relevant documents and educational information relating to your condition available on this site (see Gastrointestinal conditions, Liver Conditions, Procedures on the menu) and other educational and support links to provide you with a wider understanding of gastrointestinal and liver conditions. |
